7 FASHIONABLE OUTFITS FOR THE TERRACE
The long dark days are over and with the new measures we are all sitting on the terrace again with a Chardonnay. When I was allowed to go back to my favorite spot for the first time, I stood in front of my closet and I could really use this blog. What on earth should you wear when you can be seen in 'fashionable' outfits again instead of your tracksuit? For you this week: 7 fashionable (but not overly chic) outfits for the terrace!
1. MAXI DRESS AND SNEAKERS
A maxi dress secretly gives you that summer feeling. To make the look a little more urban, you can wear sneakers underneath. This way you won't be overdressed on the terrace, but with sunglasses your outfit will be ready for Friday night! Drink suggestion: Sauvignon blanc or a summer marinai pornstar.
2. BLAZER, RIPPED SHORTS AND BIKER BOOTS
It looks like an incredibly comfortable and casual outfit, but becomes fashionable by wearing an oversized blazer. Nice to combine with a belt around the waist, so that it becomes a little more feminine. Chunky sandals are also fantastic for when the Dutch sun rises. Drink suggestion: Cabernet Sauvignon or a dark and stormy.
3. SLIP SKIRT, SWEATER AND HEEL SANDALS
SEXY TIME! How incredibly feminine is a slip skirt?! With a sweater you make it a bit cooler and it is of course nice and warm on those bad days when you still want to sit on the terrace no matter what. You don't let a bit of cold weather fool you! Drink suggestion: a bloody mary (this will help you feel warm again the fastest!)
4. PAINT JACKET AND CROP TOP
There is no better fashion statement than this! In combination with mom or straight jeans and heeled sandals underneath, everyone will look at you. And let's be honest, such a patent coat is ideal for the Dutch weather. When it rains on the terrace, you won't have to worry about your outfit getting wet. Drink suggestion: Champagne or a Martini.
5. SHIRTDRESS AND ANKLE BOOTS
A shirt dress is a fantastic classic. This is a perfect outfit for work and then on the terrace! Now with ankle boots, but later can also be worn with a sandal. Drink suggestion: a Bellini for that summery touch!
6. BOHEMIAN BLOUSE AND JEANS
A bohemian blouse is a wonderful summer item. Also nice to wear in high summer with shorts, but for now still nice with mom jeans and heel sandals. Drink suggestion: a Mojito or an aperol spritz.
7. FLOWER DRESS AND BASKET BAG
Floral dresses are a good go-to for spring and if you choose a midi dress it is great to go from work to the terrace. With a denim jacket over it, you can also sit on the terrace on bad days and shine! Drink suggestion: Gin & Tonic, preferably with an Elderflower tonic.
